"We are here to identify the
needs and interests of children and young people, and to develop
a range of activities that will provide new experiences and
opportunities. We aim for young people to build their own
confidence and self-esteem, and to raise their aspirations
and expectations for themselves, and for the community of
Bryncynon."

PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS
KEYSTART
The Strategy in partnership with Mountain Ash Comprehensive School
has employed a youth worker to work with young people on an alternative
curriculum. The youth worker supports, plans and implements the
day-to-day running of the scheme and is the liaison between the
Strategy and the school. This has been a very successful project
and is being extended in 2005 to accommodate more young people from
Bryncynon, and to engage them in local environmental regeneration
activities, and food growing projects, thereby further contributing
to the health and well-being of the area.
For more information please contact Chris Stone on 01443 475120.
